The Rotary Club of Huntington Beach hosted its annual Kentucky Derby fundraiser at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex, bringing together food, live music, and a big-screen broadcast of the race. Local restaurants provided tastings throughout the venue, including a live tuna breakdown by Sushi Nigiriba. Proceeds support the club's nonprofit partnerships across the city, including programs for housing-insecure residents, at-risk youth, and equine therapy through a local organization. Huntington Beach City Councilmember Andrew Gruel, owner of Calico Fish House, was among those participating as a vendor.
